Doubleheader

Sunday was another long day. This time I covered a doubleheader for the Portland Beavers against the Sacramento Rivercats. Friday and Saturdays games were rained out. Fridays game was made up on Sunday and Saturdays game will be made up in Sacramento.

Greetings From Pasco, WA

I'm shooting the WIAA 4A and 3A track meet Friday and Saturday in Pasco, WA. Friday was a 14 hour day. Actually more because I am sitting in my room transmitting images. Can't wait to get home.

Girls LaCrosse

Shot girls lacrosse for the Oregon Girls HS LaCrosse Association. This was my first lacrosse shoot. There was another time I was hanging out with a friend while he shot lacrosse. I shot some but I won't count that.

I did much better shooting tonights Timbers game. Timbers won 2-1.

The Scenic Route

Today I shot 2A/1A State track in Monmouth, OR. My buddy Bones, a.k.a. Ted, talked me into taking HWY 99W home, the scenic route. Well, it was a nice drive but there was an accident on HWY 219. Had to stop and wait for the fire department to pull a man out of his truck. He was going too fast around a turn and flipped his truck.


I had nothing better to do so I got out of my car and started taking photos.

Portland Timbers

I shot my first Timbers soccer game Friday night. Soccer is a hard sport to photograph, at least for me.

OSAA 4A Boys State Tennis

Another hot day of shooting. I started out using my 300mm for this shoot but the tripod collar got stuck and wouldn't rotate so I could only shoot horizontal images, no verticals....I was using a monopod. I guess if I hand held the camera/lens I could have used it. Instead I switched to a 70-200 2.8 with a 1.4 converter. After the shoot I took the lens to get repaired. I'm supposed to have it back tomorrow afternoon. I hope I get it back becuase I have to shoot a Portland Timbers game tomorrow night.

Metro League District Track

Shot Metro League District Track and Field on Wednesday.



Thursday and Friday I will be shooting the OSAA 4A boys state tennis championships.

Oregon 4A Girls State Golf

I shot the Oregon 4A Girls State Golf tournament at Stone Creek Golf Course Monday and Tuesday.


Rebecca Kim won by 10 strokes. This was Kim's 3rd straight state title. She will be playing golf for Duke next year.

Promised my friend/co-worker Polly that I would post a "Mother's Day" image from the Beavers game on Sunday. Here you go Polly.....A couple of moms racing the Beaver around the bases.

State Choir

Shot High School State Choir all day Friday and Saturday.

Thursday Night T-Ball Action

DeShaun is improving. He has come a long way since the first day of t-ball. Now if we can only get him to pay attention for the whole game! Maybe next year.

Running the Bases

Sunday I covered a Portland Beavers game at PGE Park and Jen, DeShaun, Sequoia came to the game to watch me work. At the end of the game, kids where allowed to run the bases. Well, that kid standing still is my kid, DeShaun. He started running but his pants started falling down so he had to stop. It was really funny. I had to put my camera down to button his pants for him so he could continue. It looks like he's about to get run over. Funny stuff!!!!
