Swimming

It's been slow around here. Things are starting to pick up a little though. I shot a swim meet for The Beaverton Valley Times on Thursday....Jesuit vs Beaverton...guys and girls. All I had to do was get an event winner from both schools from the girls and guys. Beaverton did not win a single event. The Beaverton guys did get second in a few events. The Beaverton girls could do no better than fourth in any event.

No Friday Night Lights

Decided not to light Friday nights girls basketball game between Gladstone and Molalla. The game was at Gladstone High School. There really isn't any good spots to put lights. Light stands will definitely get in the way and there is not a good spot to clamp lights. Usually I use stands but I'm always fixing them after they get kicked and tripped on by fans. That gym is one of my least favorite gyms to shoot in. The available light in that gym is brighter than it has been in past years. It use to be a dungeon. Now if only they can make the gym larger....at least give me some room to use remote strobes.

Fav Time of Year

High School, college and NBA basketball is in full swing. Wonder how many games I will cover this year? Basketball is always fun to shoot. There is always good action to be got....sometimes I struggle to get "that" image but the action is always there.

Two NBA teams that I enjoy keeping tabs on, NY Knicks (I'm from NY so I am a Knicks fan) and Portland Trailblazers (living in the Portland area I like to see the home team succeed, except against the Knicks), are heading in different directions. The Knicks are a mess and the Trailblazers are looking like the team many thought they would be. They just had a 13 game winning streak snapped by Utah. It's time to start another streak.

This year one of the things I will have to do is watch Christopher play. So Chris hurry and send me a schedule!!!!
